The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission Ridge Rangers will be hosting fishing tournaments on Lake Istokpoga in Highlands County, Florida each month through April 2025. Jonathan Foligno, the Ridge Rangers Volunteer Program Biologist, will be working with volunteers to measure, weigh, and check the bass for diseases during the tournament. This information provides valuable data to FWC fisheries biologists, so they can monitor the health of bass populations on Lake Istokpoga.
