S2S at Manassas Battlefield

This past week, the S2S team went out with Alex Schwar to assess the American Kestrel nest box network at Manassas Battlefield Park. Back in 2013, Executive Director Michael Cohn had monitored this network, but over time the boxes have fallen into disrepair. Mike and Alex walked the park and completed the assessment, identifying boxes which need to be replaced and repaired. S2S plans to raise funds to rejuvenate the network in time for the breeding season in the late Winter and Spring of 2025.
